Set in a desert “super bloom” with Red Rock Canyon in the background, this vibrant design includes a bobcat defeating vice, blooming sagebrush, and rising pillars symbolizing resilience and unity across Nevada’s history.
Each 25 Nevada Goldback is made with 1/40 troy ounce of .9999 fine gold and comes sealed in a protective plastic sleeve. A UV security feature is embedded on the reverse side for added authenticity. Please note that the year of issue may vary. Goldbacks are not legal tender in the United States.

Fortitudine, the Virtue of Fortitude, makes her debut on the 25 Nevada Goldback, portrayed as Nike—the winged Greek goddess of Victory. The central theme of this design is “Fortitude triumphs over vice,” symbolically illustrated by a bobcat pouncing on a tortoise, often referred to here as a “land crocodile.”
Her pose is modeled after the trumpeting angels seen at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, and she is depicted sounding the first trumpet of Triumph. On her head rests a laurel wreath, a classic symbol of honor and glory, while her left hand holds a palm leaf, representing victory. The scene is set in a vibrant “super bloom” across the desert, where rising pillars symbolize Fortitude’s strength in uniting and uplifting Nevada throughout history.
Surrounding her are richly detailed native flora, including blooming sagebrush (also found on the Nevada State Flag), barrel cacti, and a flowering Joshua tree. Red Rock Canyon forms a dramatic and beautiful backdrop to this empowering composition.
