Nevada Goldbacks are the second issue in the U.S. Goldback series, released in 2020, with designs depicting the heritage and history of the state. Nevada Goldbacks come in 5 denominations, with five exquisite designs, each containing precise amounts of .999 fine 24k gold.

The “1 Goldback” contains 1/1000th ounces of gold with the Caritas design, the 5 Goldback has 1/200th ounces and Sophia design, the 10 Goldback has 1/100th ounces and Justitia design, the 25 Goldback has 1/40th ounces and Fortitudine design, and the 50 Goldback has 1/20th of an ounce of gold with the Libertas design. Goldbacks allow for gold to be spent in small interchangeable increments, solving a 2,600-year-old problem.

Theoretically, Goldbacks could be spent, bartered, and traded anywhere around the world, because it is made of pure gold. Goldbacks are unlike gold coins which have varying premiums based on their gold content. Goldbacks are interchangeable; fifty of the 1 Goldbacks are equivalent to one 50 Goldback, whereas, ten of the 1/10th ounce American Eagles do not equal one 1-ounce American Eagle coin.
