American Eagle Gold Proof coins are the U.S. Mint’s finest minted collectible Modern Gold coins in terms of overall quality and eye appeal and are considered some of the most beautiful Gold coins in the world. Proof coinage is designed specifically for collectors and commands higher premiums than average “business strike” coins made for general circulation.

Proof Gold Eagles are specially minted coins, distinguished by their brilliant mirror-like surfaces and sharpness of detail. The term “proof” refers to the way the coins are minted and does not actually indicate the coin’s condition, third-party grading services like NGC and PCGS, certify a coin’s condition. American Eagle Gold Proof coins are struck on specially prepared polished planchets (blanks) multiple times with extra pressure to provide a unique and dramatic mirrored finish.

Each proof coin is individually inspected with protective gloves, looking for accuracy and quality strike.
